Key Responsibilities
Project & Investment Evaluation
Evaluate new projects, capex proposals, and business initiatives for financial viability
Build financial models covering revenue, cost, margin, cash flows, ROI, IRR, and payback
Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess risks and returns
Support commercial structuring and pricing of projects and large deals
Business FP&A & Profitability
Analyse product / project / customer-wise profitability
Track actual vs plan performance and highlight key business drivers
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
Identify margin improvement and cost optimization opportunities
Business Strategy & Market Insights
Support business strategy initiatives with financial insights
Conduct competition and market analysis to support pricing and growth decisions
Assist in evaluating new markets, products, and expansion opportunities
Prepare management decks and strategy presentations for leadership reviews
Business Partnering
Work closely with sales, projects, operations, and leadership teams
Act as a finance business partner, challenging assumptions and recommending actions

Experience: Minimum 5 years in Internal Audit for Manufacturing Units
The Internal Auditor will be responsible for end-to-end internal audit of the manufacturing unit, ensuring compliance, process efficiency, cost control, and risk mitigation across operations, finance, inventory, and statutory requirements.
Conduct end-to-end internal audits of manufacturing operations including production, procurement, stores, inventory, maintenance, logistics, and dispatch.
Review and evaluate internal controls, SOPs, and process adherence to ensure effectiveness and compliance with company policies.
Audit costing, consumption norms, yield, wastage, and variance analysis to identify leakages and improvement areas.
Verify financial transactions, accounting entries, and MIS reports for accuracy and compliance.
Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements applicable to manufacturing units.
Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and operational risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare detailed audit reports, highlight observations, and follow up on implementation of agreed action plans.
Coordinate with plant leadership, finance, and corporate audit teams for smooth audit execution.
Support special audits, surprise checks, and investigations as and when required.
CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / B.Com with relevant audit certification preferred.
Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience in a manufacturing environment (ceramics/building materials preferred).
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, costing, inventory control, and internal controls.
Hands-on experience in plant-level audits and interaction with cross-functional teams.
Good analytical, documentation, and report-writing skills.
Willingness to travel within plant locations, if required.

Ensure full understanding and implementation of Somany Ceramics Safety Policy and Procedures.

Advise factory departments in planning and organizing measures for effective control of personal injuries.

Provide guidance on safety aspects in all job studies and conduct detailed job safety studies of selected jobs.

Conduct plant safety inspections to assess physical conditions, work practices, and procedures; recommend corrective measures for unsafe conditions and actions.

Advise on reporting and investigation of industrial accidents and occupational diseases.

Investigate all reportable accidents in the plant.
10.
Investigate cases of industrial diseases and dangerous occurrences under Rule 96.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accidents, dangerous occurrences, and occupational diseases.

Promote and support the setting up of safety committees, acting as advisor and catalyst.
13.
Design and implement creative safety initiatives (campaigns, contests, competitions, awareness activities) to engage and motivate workers.

Design and conduct training and educational programs (independently or with Training Dept.) on occupational safety and health management.
15.
Coordinate risk assessment studies (qualitative and quantitative), track compliance with all recommendations.
16.
Coordinate third-party inspections, surveys, statutory testing and examinations to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health standards.

Advise management on legal obligations and compliance with all applicable occupational safety and health legislation.
18.
Develop, review, and implement Site Emergency Plans.
19.
Ensure adequate firefighting equipment is available and maintained in proper working condition.
20.
Verify emergency exits and escape routes for fast and safe evacuation.
21.
Ensure a functioning independent evacuation alarm with continuous sound coverage across all areas.
22.
Organize evacuation drills involving all shifts, departments, and maximum worker participation at least twice every six months.
23.
Ensure safety information and warning signage is visible at all risk-prone areas.
24.
Ensure First Aid equipment is adequately stocked and available in all shifts, across all buildings and floors.

A. Talent Acquisition Strategy & Workforce Planning
Develop and execute recruitment strategy aligned with business expansion and functional manpower needs.
Work closely with Plant HR, Sales Heads, and Business Leaders to forecast manpower requirements.
Build proactive talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions across plants and sales geographies.
B. Recruitment Delivery (Plant & Sales Hiring Focus)
Lead end-to-end recruitment for plant operations (production, QC, maintenance, safety, logistics) and nationwide sales teams.
Ensure fulfillment of ~280 annual hires with strong TAT adherence and quality benchmarks.
Drive structured screening, assessments, and competency-based interviewing practices.
Implement effective sourcing channels — job boards, social media, referrals, consultants, industry connections.
C. Process Excellence & TA Capability Building
Upgrade TA processes using modern tools: ATS, digital assessments, automation, and analytics.
Create standardized recruitment templates, evaluation scorecards, and interview structures.
Implement data-driven hiring dashboards to track TAT, quality of hire, source effectiveness, and offer-to-join ratio.
D. Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring strong recruiter productivity and capability.
Coach and groom the team on new-age talent acquisition practices, digital sourcing, market mapping, and stakeholder communication.
Instill a culture of accountability, speed, and candidate-centricity.
E. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Partner with Sales Leadership, Plant Heads, Regional HR, and Functional Heads for seamless hiring delivery.
Manage recruitment partners, negotiate SLAs, and monitor performance.
Develop long-term relationships with technical institutes, campuses, and vocational training partners.
F. Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
Enhance Somany Ceramics’ employer brand across digital platforms and industry forums.
Ensure excellent candidate experience from sourcing to onboarding.
Represent the organization at job fairs, campus drives, and external events.
Lead and oversee the entire commercial function of the organization, including supporting, procurement, pricing, logistics, warehousing, and order-to-cash processes and record to report processes.
Ensure 100% compliance with GST and Custom laws pan India, including regular filing, input credit reconciliations, audits, and assessments. Also ensuring compliance with other commercial, factory and labour laws.
Design and implement effective SOPs and internal controls for commercial transactions including necessary tech upgradations.
Manage and optimize working capital by coordinating with sales, finance, and procurement teams.
Closure of books of accounts and ensuring Audit as per INDAS. Position will be responsible for overseeing entire accounting, costing, MIS, reposting and audit of manufacturing units including Joint venture and wholly owned subsidiaries of listed company.
Liaise with legal and finance departments on contracts, commercial agreements, vendor negotiations, and disputes.
Coordination with external stakeholders including business associates, Joint venture partners, suppliers etc.
Lead new capex project initiatives, including feasibility study, procurement of capex, and monitoring project progress as per timelines. . Position is also responsible for applying and obtaining various tax incentives provided by central / state governments on new capex.
Lead a team of regional commercial managers and accounts and provide strategic direction and performance monitoring.
Represent the company during statutory audits, GST assessments, and tax litigations
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and proactively recommend necessary actions
