We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Tester to lead quality assurance activities across projects. The role involves user story analysis, test strategy development, manual and automated testing execution, and mentoring QA team members to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. User Story & Requirement Analysis
Analyze user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and requirement review meetings.
Identify ambiguities, gaps, and potential risks in requirements.
Define test scenarios and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
Ensure traceability between requirements and test cases (RTM).
2. Manual Testing
Design, review, and execute detailed test cases.
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT support testing.
Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases and usability issues.
Log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
Collaborate with developers and business analysts for issue resolution.
3. Test Automation
Develop and maintain automation frameworks (UI/API).
Create automated test scripts for regression and smoke testing.
Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Analyze automation results and maintain test reports.
Continuously improve automation coverage and framework stability.
4. Team Handling & Leadership
Lead and mentor QA team members.
Review test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports.
Allocate tasks and monitor team progress.
Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices.
Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and performance feedback discussions.
5. Test Planning & Reporting
Prepare test strategy and test plans.
Estimate testing efforts and define timelines.
Monitor testing progress and provide status reports to stakeholders.
Identify risks and mitigation plans.
Ensure timely release sign-offs.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of SDLC & STLC
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
Expertise in manual testing techniques
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
API testing knowledge (Postman, RestAssured, etc.)
Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
5+ years of experience in software testing
